Here is the letter Jeremy Kenney read during his resignation to the congregation:
"It is with a heavy heart that I come to you this morning to tell you that after much thought and prayer, I am resigning my position as youth minister here at Alameda effective May 29th. For many reasons, my heart cannot be 100% into youth ministry right now. I love this congregation, students and parents too much to only give half of what you deserve. I want you to understand I am NOT resigning because I am angry with anyone; this is purely a family decision that Amanda and I felt we must make. I want to thank all of you for the love and support you have shown my family and me during our time here. We have made so many wonderful friendships in the past year, and we hope those relationships will continue. Thank you, and may God continue to bless this congregation."
