252 Basics Curriculum
FEBRUARY 2012: HONOR
"Letting someone know you see how valuable they really are."
The leadership at Alameda is dedicated to seek opportunities to partner with parents in nurturing our students to know and love God. To help us synchronize our efforts, ROCK kids for elementary students (1st-5th grade) use the 252 Basics curriculm.
It is our goal that every student that leaves at the end of 5th grade will know three basic truths based on Jesus;’ growth found in Luke 2:52
I need to make the wise choice
I can trust God no matter what
I should treat others the want I want to be treated.
Each month focuses on a virtue and how God’s plan through many Bible characters shows the virtue. The lessons then continue to show us how we should also pattern our lives.
Come join us at 9 am on Sunday Mornings and 7 pm on Wednesday nights as we work side by side to have a dynamic impact on our children.

The Rock - Children's Ministry
Meet Our NEW Children's Minister:
Jenny Lusty
Jenny and her husband Brian have been members at Alameda for nearly nine years, and during that time Jenny has been a consistent and valuable volunteer in our children’s ministry program. Over the past year, she has been the lead organizer of our elementary Bible curriculum and has recruited volunteers to serve in our elementary Bible classes. She has directed VBS, initiated the Kindergarten graduation ceremony for our little ones and their parents, and has taught Bible classes for every age group in our children’s ministry - all as a volunteer.
Jenny has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary Education from Oklahoma Christian University. She was a public school teacher for six years, and has homeschooled her own children for the last three years. Jenny has a great vision for the future of our children’s ministry, a sustained passion for children’s ministry, a deep relationship with God, and the practical skill set needed to lead our children’s ministry. We are thrilled to welcome her to our ministry staff.
Jenny’s husband Brian is a Captain in the Army National Guard and is currently deployed in Afghanistan. They have four children: Cooper, Wyatt, Abram, and Maribeth.
