This week the topic is marriage.  There are many directions to go with such a broad subject, but in our sermon Darin and I focused our thoughts around the following question: “What if God designed marriage to make us holy more than to make us happy?”  Have you ever thought about that?
I truly believe that if we pursued holiness as individuals and as couples, many of our challenges would become more manageable.  Those of us who are married must constantly push back the temptation to seek self-centered happiness that tramples on the feelings, rights, and dignity of others.  The best way to do that is to decide everyday that you will walk in the way of Christ.
